Privacy policy.
Short version: I collect only what I need to reply to you, I don’t sell your information, and you can ask me to delete it any time.
Last updated: October 2, 2026
This policy explains how Ana the Marketeer (“I”, “me”) handles personal information on anathemarketeer.com. If you use my agency site, phlare.ca, that site has its own policy.
What I collect
- Brand audit form: your name, email, brand or business name, website or social link, type of work, your biggest challenge, budget range and (optionally) how you heard about me.
- Contact form: your name, email, topic and message.
- Newsletter and checklist: your email address when you sign up for the free Authentic Branding Checklist and the Marketeers Memo.
- Booking: if you book a discovery call through Calendly, Calendly collects your name, email and the time you choose.
- Basic technical data: like most websites, the hosting service and the tools below may receive your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit.
How I use it
- To review your audit request, reply to your message and run discovery calls.
- To send you the checklist and my weekly newsletter, only if you signed up for it.
- If you accept analytics cookies, to understand which parts of the site and which channels (YouTube, Instagram and so on) bring people here, so I can improve it.
- To keep the site secure and working.
I don’t sell your personal information and I don’t use it for automated decision-making.
Who else handles your data
I use trusted services to run this site. They process information on my behalf, and some may store it outside your country, including in the United States:
- GitHub Pages hosts the website.
- IONOS provides the domain name.
- Formspree delivers the audit and contact form submissions to me.
- Kit manages newsletter signups and sends emails.
- Calendly handles discovery call bookings.
- Google supplies the fonts used on this site, shows my YouTube video thumbnails, and provides Search Console, which reports aggregate search data to me.
- Google Analytics (only if you click Accept on the cookie banner) shows me overall traffic and which pages and buttons help people, such as which pages lead to booked calls. It uses cookies and may send your IP address, device and page-visit information to Google.
When you follow links to YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Thinkific (the Branding Foundations course) or phlare.ca, those sites collect information under their own policies.
Cookies
This site doesn’t use advertising cookies. If you click Accept on the cookie banner, I load Google Analytics, which sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) to count visits and see how people use the site. If you click Decline, or ignore the banner, Google Analytics is not loaded. You can change your choice any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
Your browser also stores a small note of your cookie choice, and a note that you’ve seen or closed the newsletter pop-up, so they don’t keep appearing. Third-party services, such as Calendly’s booking calendar, may set their own cookies once you use them.
Emails and consent
I only email you marketing or newsletters if you’ve asked for them by signing up. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email. If you request a brand audit or contact me, I’ll use your email to respond to you about that request.
How long I keep it
Audit and contact messages are kept for as long as needed to respond and to run any work we do together, then deleted or archived within a reasonable period. Newsletter subscribers stay on the list until they unsubscribe. I can delete your information sooner if you ask.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask me to show you what I hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. You can also complain to your local privacy regulator. To make a request, use the contact form and I’ll reply as soon as I can.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and I only use reputable providers. No system is perfectly secure, but I take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Children
This site is not aimed at children under 16, and I don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If I change this policy, I’ll update the date at the top of this page.
Questions
Use the contact form and I’ll get back to you.
